Kashmir earthquake of October 2006 (in Indian as well as Pakistan side)
Investigations of events during 1991 to
2001 were sponsored by the
Earthquake
Engineering Research Institute (USA) under its Learning From Earthquakes
project with the National Science Foundation (USA).
Investigations of Jabalpur, Bhuj,
Sumatra, and Kashmir earthquakes were also supported by Dept of Science and
Technology, Govt of India.
The Bhuj earthquake investigation was
carried out through a large Indo-US team; this investigation also included a
co-team leader from USA.
Edited a special volume on Bhuj published
by the EERI, USA. This volume is also available in the form of a CD. Also,
another CD was prepared through EERI on the Annoted Images from this
earthquake. Both the CDs have been widely distributed in India (more than
2000 copies each).
Prepared a 58-minute video-tape at IIT
Kanpur, documenting the engineering, geological, and social aspects of the
1993 Killari earthquake.
